What is snapitup?
Snapitup is a classifieds and auctions website.
How much does it cost to post an advert?
Right now it’s free, but that may change in the future.
How long is my ad displayed for?
Your ad will viewable for 2 months after which you can re-post it if required.
Account Information/Registration
On the top right hand section of the home page click on the option to Register. You will be sent to a registration page where you input all the necessary details. Please ensure that you are happy with the user name you provide as this cannot be changed at a later date. All other information regarding your account can be altered by you at a later date. Please ensure you include an active email address as you will need to activate your account using your email account. You will also need to accept the terms and conditions at the bottom of the page so please read carefully before commencing.
Once registration has been completed you will get an activation email sent to your email account. In some cases your activation email could be stored in the junk box or spam box so please check these areas also.
Once you click on the link in your activation email, you will automatically become an active member of Snapitup.com where you can now buy and sell at your ease.

Typing errors using incorrect user names and passwords:
Upper and Lower Case option on your keyboard turned on or off at incorrect time.
Account activation never completed correctly. Please check your email account for this one. In some cases your activation email could be stored in the junk box or spam box so please check these areas also. If you have not received an activation email then your registration did not got through correctly so return to the registration section and start over.
If you still cannot access your account then try refreshing your browser and clear your browsing data. Close down your web browser and re start it again. Type in www.snapitup.com and try and log in one more time. If this still fails please us the contact us page at the top of our page or just simply email us at support@snapitup.com
Placing Ads/Best Practice
The more effort you put in and the more information that you can include in the posting of your ad, the more informed the prospective client will be. This will increase your percentages of making a quick sale. The Ad Title is essential: make sure the ad title bears relevance to your goods, the wording needs o be accurate to what you are selling but in as little words as necessary.
Remember most items are found via the search option so be specific. You can include any extras in the main section of the advert. Here you can go into more detail on what you are offering for sale. Try and include as much facts as possible like manufacturer/make/model/size/age group/condition etc.
Write accurately in regular print form, check for spelling errors especially important for search engines, avoid using all CAPS LOCKS and only use text shortcuts that are obvious and widely used. You must be accurate but also be realistic – don’t overstate the product beyond normal expectations as this may cause an avalanche of calls but no sales, which may gain you a poor reputation.
Place only one item/product per ad unless they are very much linked. If you have similar goods to sell don’t be tempted to sell them all on the one ad as it causes confusion as to what’s for sale. As all ads are free simply place a separate ad for the other items. Duplicate ads are not allowed and will be removed from the site. We can include some items into more than one category upon request as some items often cross over between two categories.
Photos
You can upload up to a dozen photos per ad plus a video of your goods or services. Please ensure these are accurate and as detailed as possible. The better the photos the better chance you have of selling your goods/services. This will also reduce possible time wasters enquiring unnecessarily due to confusing pictures. For best results please only upload web size images with 640 x 480 the recommended size.
My Ad does not have a corresponding category?
We are attempting to include as many categories as possible but that will always exclude some so the best bet is to include your ad in whatever you think is feasible or leave it in the non category section and we will update accordingly.
My Ad was placed but does not appear on recent posts?
Only recent ads placed with photo uploads will appear on the home page as ads with photos have much more attraction value
